Transsexuals group let FPI members walk away legal process after attack

The Indonesian Transsexuals Communication Forum confirmed Monday it would not report the Islam Defender Front (FPI) to the police for attacking their human rights training in Depok last week after ensuring that all the event's participants suffered no physical injuries during the attack.
"We have considered there is no need to report the incident to the police," forum head Merlin Sofyan
told the Jakarta Post.
"Moreover, although the attack had interrupted the event for a while, we were still able to run the event until Saturday like we expected."
Dozens of members of FPI's Depok chapter stormed Friday a human rights training program organized by
the National Commission for Human Rights (Komnas HAM) for transgender individuals at Bumi Wiyata Hotel.
